You know that feeling, when something is missing, when you need to find that little something that helps you feel fulfilled, complete... happy?

When you don't quite fit into what you do and you feel that you are letting go of part of your essence, of your magic, of your gift.

I've been like that for practically all my life, looking for that something that makes me vibrate, and without realising it, my passion was always there, very present, but until, encouraged by a good photographer friend, I didn't invest in my first equipment, I didn't realise how much it fascinated me, and the potential it hid.

And so María Lobre was born, after the purchase of a second hand FujiFilm xt30 and two Swedes who let themselves be captured as guinea pigs. Only then I understood everything that this at first creative hobby and then exciting profession offered me.

Photography lets me be, it allows me to capture the depth and complicity of my mind in images… to play with movement, to capture ephemeral moments thanks to a click. It gives me the opportunity to use my creativity through aesthetics, the importance of light and shadows, to create drama, to tell a story. To see the value of details, how to place the models in harmony with the elements, with the colours, with the environment. For me it’s an eternal search for harmony, romanticism, visual poetry and love.
